Onwards Thru November

I kept going after October 31st, 2024, because, of course "comforting". Waiting for this election to be over with it sure is "somethin". :(

Nice little edge hub at 898,000

987,654

I liked the screenshot of the older hub and path. This one I built, and it's the same old cloned water-wall, using up blocks, it has a mid level balcony, probably useful to shoot bad mobs from, IF I ever decide to turn them on. But, I haven't, I just don't care about fighting mobs, it breaks my one rule. "Is it fun?" No, not really, for some reason I find digging and building more fun than fighting mobs, or being surprised by them because I wasn't paying attention to what time it was in the game.

November 5th [07:05] PST. Got woken up early, can't get back to sleep. Today is election day. For a little while today when I was tossing and turning, I heard John Oliver saying, "And just today a teenage girl died after attempting to get help at three emergency rooms." I just... I heard him say that and I covered my face with my hands and cried. We already have a shortage, less women under 35, then men. And I know America isn't as bad off in the male/female imbalance in Asia. Both, Southern and Northern Asia, the two largest populations in the world have a deficit of millions of women to young men. And I am crying because, bleeding to death as a teenager in America because of some people who call themselves Christians -- we would have saved her. She would have not suffered and died that way. Her entire family lost everything that is most valuable in this world -- because of a minority religious belief, pushed all the way to the SCOTUS.

So, Minecraft, anyone? My brain says, Yeah that sounds like a nice world, let's go there!

A "new" dug pit stair-well

I re-dug this stairwell twice while slightly drunk with the TV running in the background. Left torches on walls just hanging in mid-"air" because I could. Then back-filled one row of stairs dug too far. THAT is how much I was trying to escape thinking. Was it fun? Funner than thinking about this election, yes.

I don't know if I did anything in "there" in virtual last night. It's Nov 6th. What is there more to say? Nothing.

Nope. Nothing new in the screenshots folder. I think I'm still building a strange sand peninsula for no reason, but I can't remember. I wasn't thinking about it.

way-up tower at 887,500

Another garden at the top hub built a while ago, years ago, I just don't recall when. I may go thru my in game books and make notes someday. But, why? It's only a game. Time spent trying not to think.

I "walked" only 500 block and found a walled garden hub near an ocean, added water wall just past it, there were no near by islands to dig a mine tunnel down, well one with two blocks of sand, I planted two canes and built the tower up in the corner. This is the top of it. The tower below this photo, you can tell by all the yellow and pattern blocks at the top.

I wonder how long I will do this? Play this game.

New last night

I don't care where it is, just that I'm past the 888,888 election night. Onto the 87s for 10k now.

November 9th, anger, denial then bargaining? Something like that. And we keep going.

870,000

I was surprised there was nothing there at 870,000 so I added a for structure block walled town and built some stairs up. I'm still wanting to make progress around the 2,002,000 circumference, now just to say, this is something I can do in the background to unwind and still be productive in my life and work.

November 10th, the futility of every effort. That's what makes playing this game a balancing act for my ego.

the top of a over sand fort

This is where I was on the 9th. I didn't take any screenshots of the build looking up the stairs from the sand. I didn't even make stairs down to the flat here. It's somewhere between here and there and there are a couple or three beds in this survival hub.

November 11th,

a new mostly Tuff structure block times three

A stair with a cliff wall hub

There's a village at the top. The Tuff and assorted blocks is the last thing I did before going to bed. Wasn't watching any TV, and we have quit drinking again. The last time we did that it was 2020. This time? Our plan is to ignore the real world as much as physically possible. Especially comedy news, and news in general, monkeys spreading their shit on the wall isn't something we are keen to continue watching now.

November 12th, last night I made it to the years old 850k hub. I didn't take photos because I think I'll build there for a while. I'm starting to consider maybe turning on the monsters again, who knows, but as is, it's not a good survival hub.

Oh, and newer stuff has started loading in my old world.
This is one of the newer salmon from some ocean upgrade, first time I'd see one inside the 'b' area.

The photos are loading in the opposite order that I'm going in the game. I'm at 850k, and started at 859k-ish. At this rate I'll be past 800k in November, hopefully I do more of other things in life than try to shut off my brain by playing in this game.

November 13th, 850k hub is significantly more finished from zero to 500, doors and double walls in a couple places.

847,500 only the cloned water-wall is new

846,000

This is a major series of clone errors. I didn't do it yesterday, but I do think it's funny. I don't fix them, I just leave the walls standing in mid-"air" like sign posts for nobody.

November 14th, is part of the process of getting things done procrastination? Again, I didn't take any screenshots last night? I finally made a structure box staircase. I hadn't tested it yet before I went to bed. Since my game character was still standing there, I loaded the game to make a note of the location. It's quite ugly in a very pleasant way.

structure block stairs at 844,321 5 300

November 15th, spending too much time in the game again, we aren't drinking since the election, we are just tired of it, but the TV streaming, we are bing re-watching an old show because there's nothing good new that we want to watch. And I only took one screenshot last night because, it's all the same. Cloned water all and two structure block stairs. Some of the details left to add in survival. Some mental block about a balance between survival and creative mode, and the scale of the the billion block area. I didn't even note the X, Y, Z or the last survival hub I built. It doesn't really matter, because it is not matter.

somewhere between 844k and 830k?

November 17th, here's the sand temple chunk I rebuilt the past two nights.

The cloned stair in the wall is reversed.

I wonder how many of these I dug, a lot, a lot. But, nobody is counting. :P

major clone errors 830,275-ish?

There are a few of these where I was trying to figure out how I would get enough material to build around the circumference. It was kinda fun-ish? I filled several holes like this, but it's a mess, and I haven't cleaned up any or used any of the materials, they are sort of like toxic waste dumps? Only not toxic, just colorful virtual concrete sand with no purpose other than to just be colorful, and fill up holes.

"old" tower at 830k

One of the older builds I've found in a while. It has the 1/2 step stairs, and yellow glass, because yellow flowers are the easy ones to collect in survival. I think it's one of the first towers I built with stained glass panes instead of just blocks of glass.

November 18th, hmm...? The game is still there. I might actually be getting bored with it.

Garden wall stairs at 828,900

stair hub at 827,500

November 19th, last night I built a wooden, glass and Tuff wall to clone with structure blocks. My second such wall, to lessen the reps required to finish cloning these million of blocks of water walls. But, of course I didn't take a screenshot or even test the structure block yet. It will show up in some screenshot later no doubt.

Old stair/garden fort near 824k

actually at 824k, but there's no hub there, no wall rail, nothing but stairs.

Tower/stair hub combo at 822,500

Last night I found the original test area where I attempted to build the water wall in survival. I had thought I could just fill the flat with one layer of water, but not all of the oceans have flat under that standing wall of water, and ... I guess it's easier to show the photos I took, the lack of progress made by building water wall in survival versus cloning water wall with the 'Green Ring' of imported region files, and an ever expanding set of structure blocks. I may have taken too many screenshots this time. And of course they got uploaded in the opposite order.

The first image is a laughable clone error, a wall in mid"air". The 2 structure block stairs, but what I'm taking a parting shot of is the wall from the water up that I was building in survival. I thought I could easily use up all the blocks in my inventory, but I got bored, and stopped building when my "is this fun?" rule said, no, not really. Let's keep going.

filled 1 block layer with water

Flew back, thought I would leave and changed my mind

Shot from the side of same 820k area.

I spend days building this in survival years ago, I think I almost drowned a couple times. Then left it to build something else.

8 structure blocks at 818,290

There was a witch cabin up there. I chopped it down and rebuilt it then added the structures. I don't know why I didn't photograph the new hut. Last time I took a pic of the hut and didn't capture an image of the stairs? Who knows. It's just a game.

I played both nights, November 20th and 21st but didn't post. Maybe I'm getting bored of posting screenshots finally?

Stair up to hub at 811k
These four photos are in reverse order. The last screenshot I took last night was this 811,000 pic.
813,700 grass stairs to temple chunk hub

815k clone stairs, wall and layer water wall.

I think this is where I attempted to clone the ring village and it was a total mess! Had to tp back and forth multiple times to pick up and then place everything, all the drops "somewhere".  The water in the center washes everything out. The tunnels under the ring get stripped of doors, off by one block, it's just not a good structure block set.

817,500 hub with trees and small garden

I added a four block high wall around this hub, and a fire pit then continued on.

807,500
I found a built and then cloned section of water wall from a while ago, before I imported the green ring layers. After cloning more than 200k less than 300k with a lot of green ring and a couple structure blocks, it's fun to find the old walls with their unique patterns.

November 24th This is what I'm doing instead of media these days I guess? Not quite dealing with the real world yet. I've cloned water-wall past 800k now. Last night.

Here's the old dug stairs hub at 800k

same, see that stair to the rail in the background?

Here's the stair up to the 'M' over a thin wedge of water up close.

And this is the walled edge garden at 800,000 10 500

November 27th, got bored of cloning water-wall. Went flying off looking for where I stopped starting at Zero towards 'M'. And I tp-hopped by 1k jumps for a couple 100k, and gave up looking at 375,000-ish.

376,543 stairs and walled garden hub

walled village near 376,543
I think this is one of the original walled villages, it's a mess, it got moved over with a couple gaps in the ceiling of more than one building. Therefore it matches the rest of the chaos that is my world.

377,500 carved cliff wall way-up hub

past 1,000,000 pit mine

After dying via tp fall, and dropping from level 118 to 7, I mined and forged my way up to level 30, twice, after making some boots. I had feather falling V or IV boots, and the only thing the fall "let" me keep was a stupid gold Thorns II vest, all the other good armor was gone with my 111 levels.

I found this error added a stair up

599,444 42 -260 tp to sand

fish kept falling out, added water-walls

One last screenshot and I'm "done" with this post. I made a third two part water wall. This one out of a cloned chunk of mesa. That I then copied 6 or 8 times and added some blocks to the top to finish it.

I took a screenshot of this new two structure block wall, and then finished the gaps in ocean standing in virtual air from 25,000 to zero on the negative side of the billion block area.
Mesa structure block cloned wall

November 30th, I thought I was done, but I just returned to where I was from starting at 1,000,000 on the + side of the billion block area. Seems like I finished a lot more of the water-wall previously and there's a lot more sand area with no water-wall needed. But, at the end of the 'M' rail, there's where most of the ocean is, and even with all that sand in the middle, it's easily 4 month to half a year of evenings until the water wall is completed enough for me to move on to another task. I don't really care that much. Is it fun?

The last two screen shots are a before and after shot.
flying along and I see this water in mid-"air"

Here's after I added the water-wall

This area is 787,000 and there is a tower up to the 'M' rail in the background. Added a two structure block stair, then switched game mode to add doors and stuff for survival to the inside after cloning. But, I didn't take a 3rd screenshot. I thought. I have other things to do. You know, life. There are people in the room, food got made and eaten in-between flying along and cloning this water wall. Yep, another month has gone by already and tomorrow is December.
